Dugout won the toss and chose to bat first; they lost the opening wicket early, but this did not affect the match winning partnership between Young rising talent Clinton Rubagumya and Taga.Mukama scored 48 Runs with two fours and a six, Rubagumya (33 Runs) with good support from Bob Bashir Songa, who scored 26 runs, as Dugout reached 182 All out in 45 Overs. Challengers Cricket Club started the chase poorly with their top order collapsing without any significant contribution. They were tattering at 52 for 6, a good partnership evolved between Srinath VARDHINENI and Ahmed FARISHTA, but they got out for 30 runs and 25 runs each. Challengers were eventually bundled out for 113 Runs All Out in 24 Overs. A controversy erupted during Dugout bowling, as the umpire Sam called the Dugout fast bowler Fredy Ndayisenga five times with no ball for throwing. The charge of ‘throwing’ against a bowler is one of the most serious and controversial decisions that can be made in cricket, as a bowler with an illegal action cannot dismiss a batsman. Challengers CC and Indorwa Cricket Club still have one more match to go (next Sunday). The winner of that match will secure a place in the final, in case of a tie the team with a higher net run rate will enter the finals.
