Editor,Yesterday, Rwanda bid farewell to one of its finest daughters of all time. Former Gender and Family Promotion minister Aloisea Inyumba was laid to rest, five days after she died from cancer. It was a difficult day for her family, friends and colleagues who had known and worked with her for a long time. But Inyumba will be dearly missed by the whole country. Everyone has benefited from her unreserved service to this country over the years, dating back to the early 1990s when she helped liberate the Rwandan people from a fascist and genocidal regime.Thankfully, like the President said, her values and ideals still live with us. We should draw inspiration from compatriots like Inyumba and make their dreams a reality. The youth have a lot to learn from the late Inyumba. If Aloisea Inyumba could achieve so much at a young age with all the difficulties she faced as a refugee, how about the youth of today who are blessed with a government that cares for them and continuously creates an enabling environment that make them thrive?Equally, our leaders are challenged to keep Inyumba’s legacy alive by accomplishing the work she had began.RIP our beloved minister, mother and friend!Jenifer Mukunzi,Kigali
