Cecafa plans to launch an East and Central African Football Coaches Movement in a bid to improve technical abilities of football coaches across the region.This was confirmed by the body’s Secretary General Nicholas Musonye at a press conference on Friday in Kampala.He said, "This is a new initiative by our coaches and it will be launched officially in the next few days. We want this movement to be a family of friends working together to develop football in the Cecafa region."To share knowledge and experience, develop and form good coaching organisations within the region, develop talents beyond boundaries, synergise and celebrate the different days of our cultures and have one voice and one face.”"I am supporting this initiative because our football must grow and it can only grow if we develop our technical abilities and this is the organisation that is going to strive for the development of our football in our region and coaches in the whole region,” added the Kenyan official.The Cecafa executive committee will sit in March next year in Morocco on the sidelines of CAF meeting to decide on this issue as well as determine the host of next year’s Cecafa Challenge Cup which is being contested between Rwanda and Kenya.
