Ingabire 1h47’15’’98’’Benediction Club rider Nathan Byukusenge on Saturday won the 2012 Anti -Corruption cycling race sponsored by the Ombudsman Office in conjunction with the Rwanda Cycling Federation.A senior member of Team Rwanda, Byukusenge clocked 2h55’47’’ to win the 90km one-day competition Kigali-Muhanga-Kigali, which started from Amahoro stadium to Muhanga and finished at Stade de Kigali in Nyamirambo, and took home Rwf 0.25m in prize money.Janvier Hadi was second in a time of 2h58’02’’ and also walked away with Rwf0.2m, Bonaventure Uwizeyimana was third in 2h58’07’’ also took Rwf0.15m, Valens Ndayisenga followed in fourth position after clocking 2h58’13’’ and Jean Bosco Nsengiyumva came in fifth in a time of 2h58’18’’.In the women category, 48k (Muhanga to Kigali), Jeanette Uwimana was the winner in a time of 1h47’15’’81’’’ and she received Rwf0.1m for her effort. Clementine Niyonsaba was second in 1h47’83’’ and got Rwf0.09m, while Beatha Ingabire finished third in a time of 1h47’15’’98’’ and walked away with Rwf0.08m.Last year’s winner Gasore Hategeka finished in 9th position, while Angelique Munkandezi, who won the women’s race last year, didn’t take part to defend her title.The competition attracted 46 riders, 11 of them women.
