Several senior Kenyan politicians this week finalised last-minute political alliances ahead of last yearu2019s general elections, with Prime Minister Raila Odinga pulling off a surprise partnership with Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, while Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta joined forces with parliamentarian and former Higher Education minister William Ruto. The latter two face ICC charges in connection with the 2007/08 post-election violence.
