RIP: Inyumba speaking at a past event. The New Times / File.

Her praises will live among the Rwandan people for generations to come. Her service to the Rwandan people as a whole is unforgettable. Her love for family values irreplaceable. She inspired her people to greatness. With her speeches and actions, she won our hearts and minds.

Together with other RPF cadres, she pulled the crowds and inspired their lives. She spoke with new energy to our hearts and minds. She gave hope to many orphans and widows and inspired our lives to greatness. She saw the silver lining in every cloud, and made us all see the same. Who would forget her genuine smile? She had a smile that was always deep from her heart. Her smile uplifted our spirits and made us approach daily life with a positive energy. She made everything worthwhile in countless ways during RPF struggle. Memories of your life will live with us forever.  We mourn the loss of a true leader, an irreplaceable mother – you were a wonderful blessing to our lives. We’ll miss you A. Inyumba, our true cadre but as you lived with a smile, you will forever be remembered with a loving smile. Rest in God’s Eternal Peace; with loving tears we celebrate your life and can’t believe you are gone. You are indeed irreplaceable. And memories of your life will fondly be engraved in our memories forever and ever.Fidel, Kigali---------------------------------We want to thank you, posthumously, for the work you did since those dark days of the early 1990s from a dingy office in Kampala, the motivation and encouragement to step up the struggle, the food you gave us, and the gum boots and guidance during the night rides across the Rwandan border. We also thank you for your dedication to public service for much of your adult life and your service to RPF of many years. We will be there for Richard and the children during your physical absence but we will all know that your spirit lives with us all. May your soul R.I.P.Dr Dennis Karangwa, South Africa----------------------------------Rwanda and the whole region have lost a heroine, a lady of integrity, hard working and with constructive ideas. You will always be remembered for your overwhelming contribution to the liberation of our country. May the almighty God rest your soul in eternal peace.James Gihana, Nyagatare---------------------------------I knew Aloisea Inyumba as a youth, but we later interacted more closely during the RPF struggle from 1987 onwards. Inyumba was an incredible lady! With boundless energy, she was able to mobilize thousands of Rwandans to join the RPF. Her convincing methods and style were unequaled. Inyumba was a true revolutionary, whose kindness, simplicity and empathy never compromised her steadfastness. Rwanda has been robbed of yet another senior cadre! May her soul rest in eternal peace!Kamali Karegesa, Kigali---------------------------------Rwanda and the whole region have lost a heroine, a lady of integrity, hard working and with constructive ideas. You will always be remembered for your overwhelming contribution to the liberation of our country. May the almighty God rest your soul in eternal peace.James Gihana, Nyagatare----------------------------------RPF and Rwandans in general have lost a great leader; we will always remember her. We need to know the date on which we will say bye to her. Emmanuel Mugabo, Kabeza in Kanombe District (Editor – Dear Emmanuel, the burial is scheduled for Monday, December 10, according to organisers)---------------------------------Visionary, brilliant, hardworking, focused, elegant, loving are among others the characteristics that shall not only be missed but remembered after Hon. Inyumba. Quite an inspirational Rwandan patriot, a true daughter of mama Africa and a pride for the future. One with true values of humanityLeonard Shema, Kigali--------------------------------A God fearing person has left us this early! I met the late Minister Inyumba several times within the country and many more times in the National Prayer Breakfast of Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda; and this year, in February 2012 in USA National Prayer Breakfast, was the time I had a long conversation with her about our Country and the ministry she was leading. She encouraged us to adopt children from orphanages instead of building more orphanages, and that showed me a loving heart for the young Rwandans and the entire nation. At the end of our conversation, she called me to go have a picture with the First Lady and I was just looking at it last night and this morning. She has been a God fearing person, a patriot, and selfless; may her soul rest in eternal peace.Andrew C, Kicukiro--------------------------------A. Inyumba was a very big asset to our country. I know her as a selfless, committed, incorruptible person. May God the almighty give her eternal peace.Chebes Celestine, Kigali, Rwanda ----------------------------------RPF particularly and Rwanda as a country, in general, have lost an extremely committed member. Inyumba was very responsible and full of admirable values that will not be easy to replace. May God, the master of all, keep her soul in eternal peace.Eric Gariyo, Gikondo, Kigali ------------------------------------I was with her at Makerere University. She stayed in Africa and I was in Livingstone hall. We did different courses. We used to meet on the way from St. Augustine’s church but had longstanding afrostone solidarity. She was saintly. I met her again on a flight from Entebbe to Kigali in 1998. She was in business class and I was in economy but separated by a curtain. She frequently pushed the curtain to talk to me but the hostess looked uncomfortable allowing me to talk to a minister. Hon Inyumba was down to earth. May her soul rest in peace.Dr Nazarius M Tumwesigye, Makerere University, KampalaNo words can express the sense of loss felt. May God comfort and console Richard, the children, siblings and her dear mother. You have been a great friend, boss, role model and care giver to all who had the opportunity to know you and to work under your guidance. Your humility and love for your nation makes you one of the greatest daughters of Rwanda. You also had the most beautiful and unique name. R.I.P InyumbaPeace Uwineza, Addis Ababa--------------------------------Those of us who had the opportunity of knowing, since high school, and later working with A. Inyumba, know what Rwanda, RPF, and the Masozera family have lost: A great seasoned politician who dedicated her adult life to public service, a role model mother, and a global social justice activist. We will all miss her. Our sympathy and prayers go to Richard and the children during these sad moments. May her soul Rest - In - Peace.Dr Dennis Karangwa, South Africa.-----------------------------------Hon., you were a hero, and for us you will always be, you were simple, soft spoken, and focused. You joined hands with others to secure for us a place we proudly call home. May God hear our prayers and give you everlasting peace. We will always remember youKakooza, Rwamagana-------------------------------------Aloisea Inyumba was a model of Rwandan leaders in serving the most vulnerable people.
