Dec.8Final: MenAPR vs NURWomenAPR vs RuhangoWITH the national league championship and Carré d’As trophies firmly in the bag, APR volleyball club go into the finals of this year’s Malaria tournament as clear favourites. In the Saturday finals, APR (Men) take on the National University of Rwanda, while Ruhango face an uphill task of upstaging the military women side.    After securing the two trophies this year, APR (men) skipper, Matayo Rwanyonga has made winning their third trophy the club’s top priority. "I know NUR is a very tough team, which can cause us many problems and can win any game but we will go into play with a motivation of ending the year on a high and we need this trophy, our opponents will come seeking revenge but we are ready for them”"The pressure is on them not us as they have lost the league and Carré d’As”"They are in the hunt for silverware but we are ready for the challenge, we have been preparing for this and are ready.” To book their place in the finals APR overcame Kigali Volleyball Club 3-0, while NUR upstaged the Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Education of Kibungo (INATEK) with the same margin.  In the ladies’ semi-finals, APR thrashed Rwamagana 3-0, while Ruhango beat  Rwanda Revenue Authority 3-2. The tourney is sponsored by Imbuto Foundation to the tune of Rwf17 million.
