TALK of welcoming the festive month and season in style and you are on point by pointing out the rebranding of Club Golemi to Club Twist,  a new joint in town for decent night partiers.  So Friday night happened to be the rebranding night. As you walked from Lemigo Hotel’s gate, you would notice a difference even in the dressing of those who hang around. Black silky dresses matched with clutch bags, sign that it was not just another ordinary night. We sneak in the club right at the basement and nothing is being left for chances. As we walk downstairs, the floor creates a sort of longing. Stickers with the club’s logo, a wine glass filled with red wine spread at measured intervals. The theme of the night, Red and White, can be noticed almost everywhere. The balloons all over the place create a feeling of a birthday. The cosy couches spread all over the room’s wall, leaving the dance floor in the middle. The shelves are packed with an excellent selection of beers, liquors, wines and soft drinks. The air conditioners are well fitted to filter the air in and out of the room, the floor spread with a black smooth carpet with fair circular and linear decorationsThe night begins with a romantic piece from an upcoming artiste, Mike Kayihura, with beats done by DJ Fredrick Galliano. The party has begun and the disco lights gather momentum and the DJ ups the gear. The pace is a notch up and one after another the dance floor is full. The room is dimly lit.We meet with Maryann Roki, the club promoter, to get her views about the event. "It’s really great and we hope to hit our target of 300 people. This is a club that will give Kigalians and visitors a different night feel; good cocktails and time away from the norm,” she tells The New Times.The main man, DJ Afshon gives us a clue into what the night will be. "Expect fireworks men, I am fresh and I will sweep this world neat and clean with entertainment, come and have the feel”, this tall shy lad assures us as he goes through his computer. As it is, the night is getting busier.All over again, the joints and muscles do what they know best: dancing as the curtains fall to wait for another day in the twist of entertainment as we say; Bye to Golemi, and Hi to Club Twist.
