DRC can only be helped to solve its own problems

Editor, I do concur with Joseph Rwagatare’s article titled ‘Brotherly advice to Joseph Kabila’, published in The New Times of November 27.

Editor,I do concur with Joseph Rwagatare’s article titled ‘Brotherly advice to Joseph Kabila’, published in The New Times of November 27.President Kabila’s problems are of his own making. He had enough time to stabilise his country and put it in order. What has he been doing all these years? He knew the problems that the country was facing before he came into power. His first priority would have been to stabilise the country and unite all the Congolese. He would have been more inclusive. The question of saying that the Kinyarwanda speaking people were not nationals of DRC was all wrong and totally misplaced.I am from Kenya and we do have Meru from Kenya and Meru from Tanzania but speak the same language. We have Luos from Kenya and Tanzania, we have Luhyas from Uganda and Kenya. We speak the same language but we are different nationalities.I seriously do not see the President winning against these M23. people. The only solution is talk and unite all Congolese people. Evans Wafula, Afghanistan**************************************************Editor,I wish to thank Joseph Rwagatare for his enriching insights. I never miss his articles in this news paper because they are based on concrete  research. Please keep us informed always. I think the government of DRC needs to work very hard and consult other peaceful countries on the way to unite its people. Rwanda had even a worse country but over the last 18 years, they have managed to restore peace and unite all Rwandans.Uganda has dozens of tribes but the government of President Yoweri Museveni has done well as far as unity of Ugandans is concerned. Ugandans and Rwandans look at themselves as brothers and sisters.Eugene, Gisenyi
