Rwandan swimmers Claude Dusabe and Neema Nyirabyenda will represent Rwanda at the 2023 Africa Beach Games that will take place in Hammamet, Tunisia, from June 23- 30.

National swimming team coach Jackson Niyomugabo took six swimmers to Lake Kivu in Karongi District for a three-week training camp after which he selected Dusabe and Nyirabyenda for the Games.
The Cercle Sportif de Karongi duo secured the tickets to the Games after impressing the coach during training sessions where they finished the camp with the best times ahead of the rest in men and women’s categories.
They are expected to leave for Hammamet on Wednesday evening.
More than 1,110 athletes from 52 countries will take part in the Africa Beach Games. They will be accompanied by more than 500 delegates while 300 volunteers are also expected to play their part for smooth running of the Games.
Besides Swimming, Rwanda will also be represented in Kung-Fu Wushu and Basketball.
