Right Guards and break-away side Young Tigers are set for a thrilling encounter today as the Sulfo league nears its climax.
Although the two sides have very little to contend for as far as the league title is concerned, pride is expected to bring the best out of both sides.
The secondary school students dominated club heads into today’s tie with an upper hand after beating Guards in the sides’ first encounter during this year’s Utexrwa Cup.
Young Tigers’ star bowler Eric Dusabe believes that his side has the quality to take on any league side.
"The boys have matured in their game and I think they can match any club in the league,” Dusabe bragged before conceding that the club’s major weakness has been lack of experience at this level.
"Lack of experience has cost us on a number of occasions,” he added.
Guards who are yet to win a league game are still rooted at the foot of the table but a win today would take them ahead of KCC and Young Tigers who are jointly in third place with four points.
Young Tigers broke away from Guards early this year sighting lack of ambition and trophies.
