R&B-gospel sensation Bobo Bonfils Mutabazi launches his maiden eight-track album, Yesu ni Wowe today at the Sports View Hotel in Remera. Known for such tracks as Uri Alpha, Mwuka wera and Waranyuze, he took time off rehearsals for a chat with Moses Opobo…What is your swag? My swag is to sing and to pray. What do you do before you go on stage?I take some time and pray.Would you accept an invitation to sing without pay?Yes, because the main purpose of my music is Evangelization. Do you know the taste of beer?No, I’ve never tasted beer. Would you accept a sponsorship deal from a beer company?I wouldn’t, because my religious beliefs do not permit it. How do you handle female attention? Because I am not yet searching for a lady to marry, I don t have time to be interested.  How did you get into music, and who was your role model?I grew up in a kids’ choir and   I was very interested in music right from the start. I’ve even sung alongside Mani Martin!Do you believe in Hell?Yes, Hell exists, just like Heaven exists. What is sweeter than singing?The love of God.Would you settle for a wife picked by your parents?No I will have to make my own choice. What kind of relationship are you in?I’m not married and I’m not in any kind of relationship.
