Pacifique Oda Uzamberumwana, better known as Paccy, is a local hip hop artiste. The 23-year-old rapper is producer Lick Lick’s ex-girlfriend, and the two have a child together. She talked to Grace Mugoya about her newfound love and why she will never date a celebrity again. Excerpts below:Briefly tell us about yourselfI am Pacifigue Oda Uzamberumwana but am known to my fans as Paccy. I am 23 years old and a second year Business student at Rwanda Tourism College University (RTCU).Would you date a fellow celebrity?I have tried before and totally failed.Currently your boyfriend, producer Lick Lick, is out of the country. Don’t you miss him?Who? (Contorts face.) Lick Lick? That was far back. In fact, that is history to me. Are you trying to say that you have a new catch?Yes I do. And to be honest, I have never been as happy in a relationship as I am today.What is so special about your new catch?This young man is really loving, caring and honest.But you have a child with Lick Lick. Don’t you think it would have been wise to stay with him just for the sake of you child?That is a very hard question for me to answer, but what I can say is that I just consider Lick Lick a man I have a child with and nothing beyond that.If it came to your realization that your current lover is going out with another girl, what would you do?I would fight for my love to the last minute. I cannot afford to lose him. When it comes to relationships, I do not easily give up. If your new catch found you cheating on him, how many times would you like to be forgiven?Only once because continuing with a cheating partner is not wise at all. I am sure at some point you thought your ex-boyfriend was the best man in the world but it turned out to be the reverse. Do you think the future is bright with your new man?Just like I said, this young man is totally different and I am sure he is Mr. Right.
