Editor,It’s important to pray silently without disturbing others. Not all people would like to get disrupted by continuous noise especially at night. But some people should not impose the idea of silent prayer doctrine as the only means of praising God.  Psalm 100:1-2 says. "I Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. 2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before His presence with singing” Psalms 35:27 adds that "Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of His servant” .Much as I support that the sound while praying be moderated, I don’t agree with silent doctrine as a means of prayer. Thank you KCC. James Munanura, Makerere University (Response to the story ‘KCC cautions churches on noise pollution’ published on November 20)
