Rwanda 72-55 South Sudan
Rwanda registered second win after edging South Sudan 72-55 on Monday in game two of the FIBA Afro-CAN qualifiers going on in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Cheikh Sarr’s side were off to winning start when they opened the zone 5 qualifying campaign with a 104-34 victory over Eritrea on Sunday.

The team led by Dick Sano Rutatika, Ntore Habimana and Steven Hagumintwari again looked supercharged against South Sudan at The Benjamin Mkapa Indoor Court.
Rwanda won the first quarter 16-14 and second quarter 21-9 to go into halftime break with a narrow 37-23 lead.
Returning for the second half, Rwanda continued to show energy, taking third quarter 18-13 but South Sudan bounced back with win last quarter 19-17 although it was not enough to win the game.
Rutatika, Habimana, Hagumintwari and Dieudonné Ndizeye each scored 11 points, while Jean-Jacques Wilson Nshobozwabyosenumukiza added 8 points.
Rwanda will be back to action on Tuesday, June 20, where they will take on hosts Tanzania.
