Bobi Wine has done a number of socially conscious songs and his latest release, ‘Tugambire Ku Jennifer’, is another one. In the song, the self-proclaimed Ghetto President comes out to sing about how the policies of the Kampala Capital City Authority Executive Director, Jennifer Semakula Musisi, are affecting the common people."I am not attacking Jennifer (Musisi), but I wish for a city where its dwellers can freely work and earn. Kampala is for us all and for the city to grow, there have to be people,” Bobi Wine told fans at his concert at Kyaddondo Rugby Club. The Friday audience included politicians like outgoing Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) chief, Dr Kizza Besigye, Kampala’s Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago, Kampala Central Division Mayor Godfrey Nyakana, Kawempe Mayor Mubarak Munyagwa and Kampala Metropolitan Police Commander Andrew Felix Kaweesi, among others."If John McCain could work with Barack Obama, why can’t we do the same here in Uganda?” Bobi asked before performing his song ‘Ekiroto’ in which he anticipates a day when Dr Besigye will share a cup of tea with his political opponent President Museveni and the duo laugh off some of their bitterness and excesses. He gave an example of himself for having mended ties with his former nemesis Jose Chameleone. It should be noted, however, that Bobi Wine is still enemies with Bebe Cool, who is also at loggerheads with Chameleone. The singer also announced that he is making 10 years since he first registered a hit song, ‘Akagoma’ in 2002 and he went on to musically walk fans through the journey, from songs like ‘Bam Bam’, ‘Kabaseke’, ‘Wendi’, ‘Kiwani’ and ‘Kadingo’ in which he reminds people to keep sanitation standards high for a healthier life.He had a message for some of his guests: "I call on our leaders to work together for the good of this country so that our generation can find this country a better place than we found it.”
