Editor,It is sad to hear what happened to this innocent young Rwandan woman, Natacha Butera (see story Rwanda student shot in the US. The NewTimes, November, 20).  We thank God that she is still breathing. We pray that she wins the battle. But I do disagree with people who blame the law of owning weapons.  I am so sure, the gun that was used is unlicensed. So, that has nothing to do with the law on guns.A crime is a crime. There are so many countries that are so strict on guns, but still, guns find their ways into those countries and some how end up in wrong hands.Evans Wafula, Afghanistan

Editor,I am very much proud of my government for caring about its citizens even those get injured a thousands of miles away from home.This shows that, it is a peoples’ government. Thank you President Paul Kagame for preaching this good gospel. Peace to all Rwandans.Sabin, Kigali
