P-Square back to entertain Rwandans

SENSATIONAL Nigerian singing duo of Peter and Paul Okoye, better referred to as P-Square, are billed to perform in Kigali on December 14. Party animals can now get ready for the P-Square concert at Amahoro Stadium in Remera, a suburb of Kigali. The free concert will also feature local artistes as well as famous regional musicians.According to Arthur Asiimwe, a member of the organising committee, the concert will be free to the public. "We chose to bring P. Square because of their popularity among the Rwandan youth and their music is extremely popular throughout the country,” Asiimwe told The New Times.Asiimwe also revealed that the concert takes place a week before Rwanda Patriotic Front’s 25th anniversary.It will be the 2nd time for P-Square to perform in Rwanda. The twins are so good in not only singing but also dancing on stage; this was witnessed in 2009 during the pre-Kwita Izina (gorilla naming) ceremony as they rocked music revelers to the maximum level.Some of their hits rocking Kigali’s popular nightspots and airwaves include; ‘No one like you’, ‘Do me’, ‘Temptation’, ‘Chop My Money’ and ‘Beautiful Onyinye’ featuring Rick Ross.P-Square are successful artistes whose music has found a home in Rwanda and the world over. The group has released more than five albums and all going platinum through recording deals with internationally recognised labels, such as Square Records, Akon’s Konvict Music and Universal Music Group (South Africa).The group is also slated to perform in neighboring Kampala-Uganda on December 21.
