THREE junior players, Anatole Bizimana, Olivier Havugimana and Gisele Umumararungu are representing the country at the East Africa Circuit Tennis Tournament under 18 (ITF U 18s) regional tennis circuit which starts today at Mombasa Sports Club.The team is coached by former international player Sylvain Rutikanga.Rwanda tennis federation chairman Theoneste Karenzi told Times Sport yesterday, "This tournament will give our young players the opportunity to gauge themselves against top players from other countries.” The Grade 5 tournament will give boys and girls from all over the world the opportunity to earn international ranking points to advance to higher levels of competition.The Tournament Director Vishal Shah hopes that it will raise the visibility of tennis within Mombasa City and the whole country and encourage youth to participate in the game.Apart from Rwandan trio, other players already who have provisionally entered the tournament are from Turkey, India, Germany, USA, Uganda, Rwanda, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Egypt among other countries.
