Morocco’s deadly pair of Marouane Chamakh and Youssef Hadji is missing from the team that will be coming to Kigali to face the Amavubi Stars in the 2010 world/Africa Cup qualifier due on June 14 in Kigali.

According to the traveling delegation sheet that was faxed to the local football’s governing body Ferwafa on Tuesday evening, the Royal Football Federation of Morocco (MRFF) has excluded five professional players from its provisional sent to Rwanda ahead of the game.

The 37-man list sent to Ferwafa consists of 24 players and 13 officials who will grace the first leg of the 2010 World/Africa Cup qualifier.

The excluded professional players include; include; Karim El Ahmadi (Feyenoord), Nabil Dirar (Club Brugge K.V), Marouane Chamakh (FC Girondins de Bordeaux) and Youssef Hadji (Stades Rennais).

However, the named squad includes 12 professional players namely; Michaël Chrétien( AS Nancy),Badr El Kaddouri(FC Dynamo Kyiv), Amin Erbati(Olympique Marseille), Salaheddine Sbai(R. Charleroi S.C), Mbark Boussoufa(R.S.C. Anderlecht), Nabil El Zhar(Liverpool F.C), Rachid Hamdani(AS Nancy), Adil Hermach(RC Lens), Houssine Kharja(A.C. Siena), Youssef Safri(Southampton F.C), Soufiane Alloudi(Al Ain FC), Abdessalam Benjelloun(Hibernian), Brahim El Bahri(Le Mans Union Club 72) and Tarik Sektioui(Porto). The lanky forward, Youssef Hadji is the younger brother of former Moroccan international Mustapha Hadji.

Hadji catapulted himself into the spotlight when he came on as a second-half substitute against Nigeria in Morocco’s opening game in Group D in the 2004 Africa cup of Nation, and scored the only goal of the match to topple the Super Eagles.

According to Ferwafa Chief Executive Officer Jules Kalisa, the Morocco list of players and officials was sent after both parties reached an agreement of facilitating either country in acquiring visas for the visiting team prior to their 2010 qualifying fixtures.

"They have requested us to help them in acquiring visas for them and the same services will be rendered once the Amavubi team goes to Rabat in a fortnight,” Kalisa said.
