A special lane, painted in a vivid shade of green, is currently being constructed around the scenic Nyarutarama based Kigali Golf Resort and Villas in Gasabo District.

In a recent interview with the city of Kigali Vice Mayor in charge of Urbanisation and Infrastructure, Merard Mpabwanamaguru, he noted that the primary objective of the running track is to enhance the overall sports experience at the renowned golf course.
The 2.4 kilometers long track has a four metre width and is laid on a special lane.
It has a soft artificial running surface made of high-quality synthetic rubber that is meant to ensures a safe and comfortable running environment for athletes and fitness enthusiasts
The installation of the track is part of the city&039;s larger plan to promote a healthy lifestyle and foster a culture of physical activity within the local community.
Mpabwanamaguru said that; "The introduction of the special painted running track around the Golf Course marks an important step towards enhancing our city's sports infrastructure."

This project not only caters to golfers frequenting the course but also serves as an invitation for individuals from all walks of life to engage in regular physical activities and embrace healthier lifestyles. Furthermore, Mpabwanamaguru expressed his belief that this new facility has the potential to nurture and cultivate international athletic talent within the local youth.
