The owner of the popular club, Cadillac which was destroyed by fire at the weekend has assured the public that he will continue with his entertainment business despite the devastating fire.Eugene Habimana, whose business name is Cobra, said he was relieved that no one was injured in the fire.The fire broke out at 2am and destroyed both Cadillac Mysterious and Mama Africa Restaurant. The properties were insured. "It’s ridiculous to know that some people say that the fire was actually deliberately set,” said Cobra. "Why on earth could I destroy my business that I started 8-years ago? This is my only source of income and my business has been moving on well.”  "How could I destroy it towards the festive season-the time we expect big earnings?”Cobra is still assessing what was left of his business. Cadillac Mysterious, which was launched early this year, was burnt beyond recognition by the early morning fire ate through the entire building.Even though firefighters arrived early to put out the fire, the business is still a total loss. Preliminary investigations indicate the fire began from the kitchen.Cobra is hoping to get things back to normal within few months."It was definitely a big loss. I invested a lot of money in both the restaurant and Cadillac Mysterious and we had great clientele,” said the distressed property owner.Other properties; Old Cadillac located adjacent to Mysterious club and the recreational area for children were not damaged.Speaking to The New Times, Cobra ruled out arson. Cobra, who has worked in the entertainment business for over 20 years, started Cadillac Club in Bujumbura-Burundi in 1999-before he moved the club to Kigali in (mid) 2004.
