Cecafa Challenge CupGroup CNov. 26Rwanda vs MalawiNov. 29.Rwanda vs ZanzibarDec. 1Rwanda vs EritreaAMAVUBI Stars head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojovic has vowed to "polish up the team” ahead of the Cecafa Tusker Senior Challenge Cup tournament which gets underway on November 24 in Kampala.Micho was left disappointed after his team let slip a two goal advantage to draw 2-2 against Namibia in an international friendly match played on Wednesday at Amahoro stadium.Despite the frustration, the Serbian has pledged to polish the team based on their performance against Namibia in time for the start of the regional tournament. "The game against Namibia was very disappointing for us. I was not pleased with the individual performance of some players,” the former SC Villa coach admitted.He added, "Based on the outcome of that match, there a few things I must polish in the remaining days before we head to Kampala. We must be ready physically and mentally if we are to stage a genuine challenge for the title.” Amavubi team will open their Cecafa Tusker Challenge Cup campaign with a demanding test against guest side Malawi on November 26. The Cosafa side will be making a third appearance in the competition.On November 29, the Wasps take on Zanzibar before winding up their Group C campaign with a tie against Eritrea on December 1.In Group A which has been touted as the ‘group of death’, reigning champions Uganda open their title defence against Kenya’s Harambee Stars on November 24 while Ethiopia entertain debutants and Fifa’s newest members South Sudan.The four teams share 21 Cecafa championships amongst them with Uganda leading at 12, Kenya 5 and Ethiopia 4. Group B pits 2007 champions Sudan against Tanzania, Burundi and Somalia.The top two teams from each group together with the best two third placed teams will qualify for the quarter-finals slated for December 3 – 4.This will be followed by the semi-finals on December 6 and the final two days later. The two-week long tournament will be live on SuperSport TV at Namboole and Nakivubo stadia.
