THE Kigali Volleyball Club head coach Jean Marie Nsengiyumva is hopeful his club can win major titles in future following a poor campaign this season.Nsengiyumva said that KVC cannot win the league or any title this year but after one or two years, his team will be a formidable side able to compete at high level."The boys are progressing slowly and we are so optimistic on the upcoming tournament, we must prepare well and put on a brave fight for the title against our rivals,” he observed."We are happy as we are building the team for the future and in everything we are doing to have a good team for the future. Hope we will achieve something good,” he added.Nsengiyumva is keen to sign big names next year in order to have strong side for the upcoming year that can be in contention for trophies."We can compete for the title next year as our young players will have made improvements. They only need time and hard work such that they can gain the needed experience,” said the former National University of Rwanda team setter.KVC’s last title victory was in 2006 when they won Coupe du Rwanda after beating APR 3-2 in the finals.KVC will use the upcoming Malaria Cup tournament slated for this weekend to effectively prepare for next season’s league.
