Burundi is to host a trade fair of products manufactured in the East African Community (EAC) states from December 2 to December 9, a senior government official said here on Monday."The Burundian trade ministry is doing all it can to make the event a success because we believe that the trade fair will allow Burundian manufacturers to show their products and promote them,” Patrice Rwimo, Permanent Secretary at the Burundian Trade Ministry said Monday."Burundians manufacture beautiful objects, but they have very few opportunities to advertise them,” she said, adding that this will be a "rare opportunity” for them to exhibit their achievements. The other opportunity of the trade fair is that Burundian manufacturers will learn from the experience of their counterparts from the other East African Community (EAC) states in order to improve their way of working, the official said. The EAC bloc is made up of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda.
