Dear editor,
Rwanda Bureau of Standards (RBS) should make shops and commercial establishments in the city use proper weights and measures to protect consumers.
The unscrupulous retail outlets tamper with the weighing machines, giving consumers underweight sugar, meat, Irish potatoes and other measurable food stuffs.
The weighing machines imported from China are deceptive and can be used to cheat buyers. The sellers actually adjust these machines in presence of customers.
One time I was given 300 grams of beef yet I actually had paid for 500 grams. RBS seems biting when it comes to cross- border policing but internally you are weak.
