Rwanda’s cricketers’ governing body, RCA is set to host a team of ex-Ugandan cricket internationals. The team of Ugandan veteran cricketers is expected to arrive in Kigali on Friday before testing the national cricket team with a Twenty20 game on Saturday and a 35-over game on Sunday.

Such tours are very important for Rwandan cricket because they improve on the level of local cricket. Shortly before the national team traveled to South Africa for the ICC World Cricket League Div.3 in April, it played a series of build-up games with the Uganda U-19 side.

"Uganda has a superior ICC ranking compared to us so it is obvious that we shall pick something out of these games.”

"Some of these lads have played cricket at a very good level and there is every reason to believe that our local players will learn something from them,” the RCA president Charles Haba said.
