KIDS’ Voice, a Kigali-based band has changed its trademark name three years after it hit the entertainment industry. The band has adopted a new name- Strong Voice to break away from their child hood links. "We are grown up and our music now targets a mature audience but we shall always have something for our young fans. We initially chose the name Kids’ Voice because we were kids and advocating for the children,” Heritier Dusabimana , one of the band members revealed the reason why the band changed its name.The quartet of siblings Heritier Dusabimana, Patrick Nteziryayo, Pacifique Niyigena and Carine Uwase, was founded in 2009 by their father Anthony Kamera.In their own words, the change of name marks a new chapter in their career.It’s also a statement that the four have come of age as adults. "We are proud of our hard work and progress so far. We are so pleased that we are still in the music industry-doing what our fans expect of us. We are not kids any more," Dusabimana who doubles as the band’s front man, revealed. The band is known for its addictive live performances as well as mashing together disparate Reggae songs-such as  Reggae Prophets, Amahoro, Africa, 2020 Vision defender and Working Hard,  among others.And their debut album- African Children which was launched early this year is currently enjoying a heavy presence on the air waves.
