Mukura sack Ruremesha, hire Atletico’s Keza

Mukura Victory Sport has  sacked head coach Emmanuel Ruremesha and replaced him with Atletico coach Cedric Kaze in a two year deal for an undisclosed fee, Times Sport has learnt.

Marines            0-0   MuhangaPolice             3-2     EtincellesLa Jeunesse   2-2     MusanzeMukura             1-1     IsongaMukura Victory Sport has  sacked head coach Emmanuel Ruremesha and replaced him with Atletico coach Cedric Kaze in a two year deal for an undisclosed fee, Times Sport has learnt.It started as a rumor last week that Ruremesha was on the brink of being sacked following the team’s poor results in the first eight matches of the season and that the Burundian Kaze was in country to take his job and it turned out to be the truth.Mukura’s Secretary General Olivier Mulindahabi confirmed that Ruremesha has been relieved of his duties and has been replaced by Keza, who has done an impressive job with Atletico.The changes came after Mukura drew 2-2 with youthful side Isonga FC on Sunday 2-2, a game in which Ruremesha was in charge but turned out to be his last.This year, Kaze guided Atlético to the last eight of this year’s Cecafa Kagame Cup, and joins the Huye side that has been inconsistent in the Primus National League under Ruremesha."He (Kaze) has replaced Emmanuel Ruremesha, who has left the job after failing to achieve what he promised when he took charge at the start of the season,” Mulindahabi told Times Sport on Monday.The Southern Province side, who were tipped to challenge for this year’s league title after finishing third last season, have managed eight points in eight matches.Kaze helped Atlético to second place in Burundi Premier League behind the champions Vital’O.Mukura opened their league campaign with a 2-1 defeat against AS Kigali; they drew 1-1 against La Jeunesse before beating Marines 1-0.They suffered back to back defeats against APR (3-1) and Police (1-0) before beating Rayon Sport 2-1. They also lost table leaders SC Kiyovu 1-0. Efforts by Times Sport to talk to Ruremesha proved futile as his known mobile phone was switched off by press time.Keza will be assisted by former Amavubi defender and Mukura skipper Canisius Nshimiyimana, who was part of the team that played at the 2004 Africa Cup of National in Tunisia.Meanwhile, the league has been called off to allow the national team to prepare for next week’s international friendly match against Namibia
