Gospel artiste Tonzi to launch album tomorrow

What is expected to be the biggest gospel concert in Rwanda this year, will take place at Kigali Serena Hotel this evening, as one of the leading gospel artistes in the country unveils her 3rd album in a concert dubbed, East African Live Gospel concert.  Famous for her terrific vocals, Clementine Uwitonze, aka Tonzi, is set to present a major show with an album titled "Good Name”.  It is a nine-track album with messages of high spiritual depth which are woven together in diverse genres such as R&B, pop, and jazz lyrics.  Some of the tracks on the album such as, Izina, Amani, Uramagize and Imundu are composed in Kinyarwanda, while others are in Swahili.In an interview, Tonzi, a member of The Sisters, told The New Times the album is an acknowledgement and a celebration of the Christian walk. It is Tonzi’s solo work."I launched my second album in November 2010 and this is my 3rd album,” said Tonzi.The East African Live Gospel concert will be graced by a stellar of  regional Gospel musicians, such as Judith Babirye from Uganda, Dudu of Burundi, Kenya’s Apostle Muliri and The Voice from Tanzania. Entrance fee to the show is Rwf5000 and Rwf10.000 in the VIP section.
