The draw for this year’s Cecafa Tusker Senior Challenge Cup has been shifted to November 12 in Kampala, Uganda, Fufa publicist Rogers Mulindwa said on Wednesday. Mulindwa, who also doubles as Cecafa media officer, said in a press conference without divulging much details, "The fixtures will be released on 12th November, not 8th as we had earlier arranged.”He added: "As the local organising committee in Kampala we have already embarked on a number of issues including accommodation and the rest with our sponsors, the East Africa Breweries.”Meanwhile, 11 Cecafa countries have confirmed participation in the tournament apart from Djibouti. "Cecafa is considering replacing Djibouti with one of the three other countries that have expressed interest in playing,” added Mulindwa.Cameroon, Malawi and Zimbabwe have expressed interest in participating as guests, according to Mulindwa, who said one of them will be taken on. Zambia and Botswana have since fallen off.Cameroon failed to qualify for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and intend to use the tournament to rebuild their team. The West Africans will however wait for a decision from the technical committee meeting that will choose between them, Malawi and Zimbabwe.Zambia is out because CAF rules do not allow countries that have qualified for the continental event to participate in such tournaments. Only Ethiopia, the only country in the region that is heading to the CAN 2013 Finals, will be competing since they are from this region. The tournament will run from November 24 to December 8 at Kampala’s Mandela National Stadium, Namboole. In a related development, Somalia has revealed they will arrive in Uganda on November 8 to allow time for 15 training days before the start of the regional tournament.
