Rwandan distinguished producer Dr. Nganji is working with talented musician Karambizi to bring to life Ejo - an Afro Fusion infused five-track EP.
The EP is the third project from the Rwandan singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer Karambizi, formerly known as Dani Kard, and marks his first release under the collaboration with Green Ferry Music Entertainment Company.
He is a multi-genre artist known for Rwandan old sound’s Ikinyemera to Karahanyuze, afrobeats, afro swing, afro pop, hip hop, soul and R&B.
"I always try to find a way of combining two or more genres to create something fresh, new and beautiful that is unique. I am inspired by the love of music and the expression of oneself through arts," says Karambizi.
This EP follows his past work ‘Normal Boy’ (EP), and ‘Autumn Summer’ (EP) which were both produced by KennyVibz through Groove Sound Music.
According to Karambizi, he met with producer Dr. Nganji through a friend and collaborated on a few standalone tracks including 'Simbizi' and 'Mr. Lighter', which led Karambizi to be introduced to Green Ferry Music management and bring to life 'Ejo.'
The inspiration behind the EP, Karambizi said, comes from the word 'Ejo' that translates to 'Tomorrow'
"Tomorrow is the most important day in life whether it is love, everyday hustle, family, or music career. Tomorrow is today’s dream. Working on our dreams can improve our future. The EP is all about self-awareness, self-development and manifestation.”
"Ejo' is an inspiration to the young generation to always work hard, appreciate themselves, love without conditions and be free in life," he added.
The extended play features RoMeo Rapstar as a guest on the second song 'Kwaka', audio production from Dr. Nganji and Karambizi himself as BusTheSpeakers, his moniker name as a producer, with additional saxophone melodies by Israel "Pappy" Kubwimana.
‘Ejo’ will be available on June 28th at all major digital music retailers and streaming platforms.
