Philadelphia Union teenager Noe Uwimana says he is elated with a call up to play for Rwanda, a country he chose to represent over Tunisia.

The talented youngster was born in the United States to a Rwandan father and a Tunisian mother and he is eligible to feature for all three countries.

He honored his maiden national team call up for Rwanda when coach Carlos Ferrer came calling, hoping to rely on his services ahead of crunch AFCON qualifier against Mozambique at the Huye Sports Stadium on Sunday, June 18.

"I have always had dreams of playing for the Rwanda national team, I am so excited to represent my Dad&039;s side, he loves his country and I am very glad to represent Rwanda," Uwimana told the media during Tuesday's training.

"I also have Tunisian roots through my mother but I have been given opportunity here and I am happy to take it. Everyone has been good to me and they have welcome me.”

He is now running against the clock to get all documents ready for to be able to represent Rwanda against Mozambique.

On his position on the field of play, the 18-year-old wonder kid revealed that he is an all-round player and can feature in four positions.

"I am a versatile player as I can operate on the left wing, right wing, right back, and left back,” he added.
