Business operators in the private sector have been called upon to register with the Private Sector Federation (PSF) so as to benefit from the federation.Faustin Mbundu, PSF’s Chairman, said that without proper identification or address, business operators are missing market opportunities for their products."It is not possible for the federation to know about your products or services if you are not registered, which makes it difficult for us to connect you to buyers locally or internationally,” Mbundu said. He made the remarks on Friday in a meeting that brought together associations and cooperatives dealing in crafts. The meeting was aimed at highlighting the progress registered in the last two years as well as the challenges they face in their daily activities. During the meeting, heads of associations had an interactive discussion after the question and answer session. Among other concerns that were raised include the lack of market for their products as well as internal management challenges that are frustrating and affecting some of the association`s performances.Mbundu promised that PSF will address the concerns. He also urged heads of the associations to embrace the network system of informing or reporting issues affecting their operations so as to seek lasting solutions.
