One of my girls got married over the weekend and while I sat there admiring the ceremony and wishing for my own wedding, something unpleasant happened.A girl walked in, clung onto her boyfriend like as if he was surgically attached to her. When I got a good look at whom the boyfriend was I did not blame her, but I instantly knew there was going to be trouble. If ever there was hell on earth- it is when you meet a man you wanted for yourself with a girl that is annoyingly kind, hard to hate, much prettier than yourself and with a body that can make the pope drool! In short- she was smoking hot! Here I was faced with deep ambivalence and the ugly truth is - sometimes to be happy, a few people have to get hurt, it does not matter how nice they are.Even at the risk of sounding delusional, I was determined to turn her boyfriend into my boyfriend. Slow down with the judgement and name calling! Let me tell you the story first. He used to be mine and he broke it off with the claim that I was emasculating him- well, I am a bit of a control freak. I like a man whose duty is to say ‘how high’ when I say ‘jump’. But after three years of dating, he claimed he could not take it anymore and wanted out and I thought I could handle it but now I want back in. Whatever makes men believe that they can come into a woman’s life and walk out whenever they get bored is beyond me! Anyway, call me hysterical if you please but their PDA got to me and I was not about to sit there and watch my future husband get all slutty in public, I had to do something about it...so I did what I do best.Getting kicked out of the reception was no big deal but leaving with him was the best thing ever. Am I guilty? No I am not, but even if I were- guilt is a small price to pay for happiness. And he used to make me happy. You can call me the queen b%*#@ diva if you want, I simply do not care. I got him back and there’s not a chick around who can snatch him away – unless they haven’t heard of me!
