Rayon continue resurgence

Six-time national football league champions Rayon Sport continued their resurgence with a resounding 2-0 victory over rivals Police at Amahoro stadium on Sunday.

Rayon Sport heaped pressure on the opponents but missed several opportunities of finding the net.Rayon Sport have jumped to ninth position on the league log with six points while Police dropped to fifth with eight points.SC Kiyovu extended their lead with a 1-0 victory over Marines at Mumena stadium. Olaze Gahonzire snatched the lone goal of the game to extend the club’s unbeaten run to five matches with 15 points, while Marines lie bottom of the table with no point.Defending champions APR slashed Mukura 3-1, while new comers Musanze beat Espoir 2-1 in Musanze. Both APR and Musanze are tied on 11 points. Elsewhere, Etincelles lost at home 0-1 to AS Kigali, while Muhanga secured a slim 1-0 victory over Amagaju at Kicukiro.
