RAYON SPORT’S new French coach Didier Gomes da Rosa is in the country to hold talks with the club management following his arrival on Friday evening.Gomes beat three other coaches for the head coach position and to both sides were expected to hold talks last night according to club chairman Mayor Abdallah Murenzi.Murenzi told Sunday Sport yesterday, "We are going to hold talks this evening (Saturday) and everything which will transpire will be communicated on tomorrow (Sunday),”"But we are hopeful, talks will be positive,” added Murenzi. The six-time league champions were proposing a one-year renewable contract for the Frenchman but everything will depend on how the talks will go between the two parties. However, if talks go well, Gomes will not take charge immediately; instead he will use the first two league matches after signing to assess the environment while his assistant coach Ali Bizimungu continues to be in charge. The 41-year old was previously linked to Amavubi Stars but Serbian Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojovic was appointed in 2011. He was also linked to Mukura last season.Gomes beat off three other coaches who had been shortlisted for the Blues’ coaching role namely; former coach Raoul Shungu, Uganda’s Sam Timbe and Burundian Cedric Kaze. The club which has had a poor start to the season has been fighting hard to find a replacement for Jean Marie Ntagwabira, who resigned at the end of last season.
