Editor, This is with reference to the article in yesterday’s issue of The New Times, titled ‘Will the onslaught on Rwanda fall silent after today’s vote?’It is, indeed, depressing to see how and to what extent, the so called "Group of Experts” of the United Nations will go just to discredit and hamper the amazing progress being made by Rwanda.Having not succeeded so far, they chose the eve of the day when the UN Security Council will was due to vote on Rwanda’s bid as a non-permanent member of the Security Council – for a two-year term, starting January 1, 2013 – to leak the Group of Experts Report on Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.Life is always a challenge. But the Government of Rwanda has shown the world that however great the challenge might be and however depressing the prevailing situation is, the country will emerge victorious.Hence, onslaught or not, the truth about Rwanda will always prevail!Clarence Fernandes
