Is tattooing a worthy lifestyle choice?

It’s tolerable I’m always fascinated by tattoos although I haven’t yet gathered the guts to have one myself. I actually doubt if I will ever. I grew up with the belief that people with tattoos worship the devil but it’s only because of what we were told.

It’s tolerable

I’m always fascinated by tattoos although I haven’t yet gathered the guts to have one myself. I actually doubt if I will ever. I grew up with the belief that people with tattoos worship the devil but it’s only because of what we were told. As I found out later, Christians too wear tattoos. The beliefs died and now I can reason for myself- people with tattoos are as normal as they come, trust me.First of all, it takes a lot of selflessness to have one’s virgin skin inked, let alone the courage needed to subdue needling pain during the tattooing process. Therefore whether we like it or not, we all owe some form of respect to tattooed individuals.I have a million friends with tattoos, and a million others who are planning for the ink. When I asked one of the guys why he wants to get tattooed, he said that he just wants to look extra strong- apparently a decoration on his biceps will make him look bulletproof. For the ladies, I just assume that they get tattoos to look sexy, well, that’s according to how I see it everywhere. That’s why they put them in catchy places like the lower back, so that when they wear something revealing, all men are sent gawking. Other bolder women get their cleavage tattooed…and that’s where even the strongest of men will go… OMG!Some people, out of sheer ignorance will assume that people with tattoos have rotten manners- this assumption to me is tantamount to racism and prejudice. They guess wildly that if a man has a tattoo, it’s solemnly wise not to mess with him because he’s most definitely also hooked on drugs. As for a girl with a tattoo, ignorant assumers think she is free spirited and will go along with almost everything dirty asked of her. Thinking like that is a matter of fact on its own, a tattoo of ignorance inscribed on the brain.Times have changed and however hard it is for some of us to adopt, I’d rather for the sake of humanity, we just pretend that we understand some things instead of appearing so backward that the cave man would be embarrassed.People get tattoos to remember special moments in their lives. Just like it is hard to erase a tattoo, having your lovely child’s name inked on your body signifies your unending bond. That means that wherever you go, whether kilometers away or overseas, the tattoo will remind you about them and most certainly, your obligations to them.On the other hand, you don’t even need a reason to have a tattoo, I mean, don’t they just look good?To me, one’s conscious is all that matters- the judgmental world is insignificant.
