THE national football team coach Milutin Sredojovic a.k.a Micho has given the Amavubi Stars a dress-down demanding an improvement.Rwanda held Namibia’s Brave Warriors to a goalless draw in an international friendly on Saturday. Micho has called on the players to improve their individual game so as to be in good shape ahead of a busy schedule. "They played good football but I request everyone to pull up their socks and work very hard. They don’t need to go and sit down and think they are untouchables.”"No one is untouchable, the national team is open to everyone and there are so many players waiting for their chance” "With four match days of league action before facing Namibia, on November 11, I will be monitoring every player and I expect to see an improvement.”However, assistant coach Eric Nshimiyimana hailed home based players for their performance against Namibia."The overall team display was overwhelming and though we didn’t score, the home talents promise a good future for the national team.”"We only have to help these players get used to playing international matches so as to gain experience.”"The defence was intact and the midfield executed their task well but we still have some issues to solve upfront. We failed to convert many chances which could have turned the game in our favour."Our focus is to try and help strikers improve.” Rwanda meet Namibia again on November 11 in Kigali at Stade Amahoro in another international friendly.Amavubi are using the two matches to stay competitive ahead of the Cecafa Challenge tournament due in Uganda next month as well as the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier – against Mali on March 22, 2013.Rwanda are in the hunt for a second regional title following their triumph back in 1999 when they hosted the event.Last year, Rwanda was ejected out in the final against Uganda Cranes on penalty shoot-outs.
