At the end of her visit, German film actress and TV personality Uschi Glas described her experience in Rwanda as amazing.Some of the tourist sites she toured included, the Gorillas in the volcanoes in Musanze as well as beautiful sceneries of Lake Kivu in Rubavu district."I am completely awestruck by the gorillas. The country is beautiful and the people are so wonderful,” said Glas. "They make it one of the best places on earth such that you just do not want to leave.” She left the country over the weekend.Born in Landau, Bavaria, Glas started appearing in films in 1965. Her breakthrough role was that of Barbara in the unconventional1968 movie Zur Sache, Schätzchen (Go for It Baby).In the late 60s and early 70s, Glas appeared in many slapstick movies, notably in three films of the seven-part series (1967–72) Die Lümmel von der ersten Bank (The Brats on the Front Bench Row).In the 1980s and 1990s Glas concentrated on her television work, appearing in a succession of TV series tailored to her person.Glas was married to actor Bernhard Tewaag from 1981 until their divorce in 2003; they had three children. In 2005 the actress married the consultant Dieter Herrmann, with whom she came with during her Rwandan tour.In 2004 Glas published a memoir, Mit einem Lächeln (With a Smile).
