Editor, I read with keen interest the lead story in yesterday’s issue of The New Times titled "9000 nurses to be trained.”While this is, indeed, wonderful news, please allow me to share with your readers, that in my own small way, and with the support of my hospital partners in Mumbai, I have made a humble offer to get two or three nurses from the Rwamagana School of Nursing and Midwifery trained at world class, renowned hospitals in Mumbai, to mark their Golden Jubilee.Of course, if this initial "pilot project ‘” works out well, we do hope to be able to extend this facility and arrangement to cover more nurses in other hospitals and institutions all over the country. As an individual with a great love for Rwanda and her people, it will always be my endeavor to assist with the healthcare needs of this beautiful land of a thousand hills and a million smiles!Clarence Fernandesclavinmarketing@gmail.com
