Dear Editor,

I would like to express my disappointment over head teachers of schools in Ngoma district most especially those schools in Kibungo sector.

I have at many occasions thought that most of these head teachers neither know their entailed duties nor care about the students’ deeds when at school or may be have no leadership skills.

To be specific, when you get to Kibungo town during class hours, you can hardly think that it’s not lunch or after school time.

Any where you go around the town you meet students in uniforms loitering. Things turn to worse when it is on a market day (Wednesday).

You may think that this day all schools are given a public holiday as they invade the market like red ants. I will mention that Kabare and ASPEK secondary schools have toped this.

Blue and orange colors for the above respective schools can be seen anywhere in Kibungo even during school hours.
My hope in these head teachers and the whole schools’ staff was lost recently when a good number of students from these schools were caught up in a police swoop that aimed at preventing security risks caused by idlers who top marijuana smokers.

Surprisingly, students were found in bars. Two teachers were also caught up in the act while drunk at about 10:00am. Head teachers, teachers, please save us from these students commotion in town during class hours. But this does not spare the parents either, because charity begins at home.
