KIBUNGO Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Education (INATEK)’s volleyball team is focused on winning this year’s edition of Carre d’As tournament set for October 20-21.The club, which is fourth on the league standings with 30 points, 12 behind leaders APR, has been in intensive preparations for a week now in Kibungo, Eastern Province with an aim of fulfilling their ambition.Head coach Dominique Ntawanga told Times Sport yesterday, "We are training hard and our ambition is to win the title.”"The boys are progressing slowly and we are so optimistic on the upcoming tournament.”"We don’t want to take any chances; we must prepare well and put on a brave fight for the title against our rivals.”"We are happy because even the institute’s administration and fans are supportive in everything we are doing and hope to achieve,” added Ntawanga, whose team trains twice a day.This year’s Carre d’As tournament, which will attract four top teams in the national league in both the men and women’s categories, will be used to generate money to contribute the Agaciro Development Fund.Apart from INATEK, other teams which will spice up the men’s category include APR, Lycee de Nyanza and National University of Rwanda (NUR).Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) will lead the women category quest alongside APR, Ruhango and St Alloys Rwamagana.
