YesterdayBotswana   1-0      RwandaRWANDA U-17 football team began their quest for a place in next year’s 10th African U-17 Championship with a first leg loss to hosts Botswana in the second round qualifying campaign.The Junior Wasps suffered a second half 0-1 loss to Botswana’s young Zebras in a game which was played yesterday at the Molepolole Sports Complex.Despite dominating the first half, failure to convert five chances by Patrick Sibomana and Djuma America Kalisa helped the hosts to reorganise themselves after recess and went on to dominate proceedings and secured the victory.The Junior Wasps will return back today, and head straight into camp to prepare for the must-win second leg tie due next Saturday at Amahoro stadium.The winner over the two-legged qualifier will face the winner between Sudan and Algeria in the final qualifying leg due later this year.Fourteen countries will qualify for the finals in Morocco next year.Amavubi U-17 team which started yesterday: Kassim Ndayisenga, Cedric Kubwimana, Abdul Rwatubyaye, Latif Bishira, Yves Rwigema, Bertrand Iradukunda, Anderson Neza, Patrick Sibomana, Djuma America Kalisa, Fiston Nkinzingabo
