Stock Exchange: Low market turnover as Bralirwa share price drops

On Friday the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) went down in turnover as Bralirwa shares slid in price. The total turnover for the day was Rwf58,294,400 from 244,000 BK shares and 62,500 Bralirwa shares traded in 12 deals compared to Thursday’s trading session which recorded a turnover of Rwf 63,214,000 from 431,800 BK shares and 16,600 Bralirwa shares traded in 11 deals.BK shares traded and closed at Rwf 130, unchanged from Thursday’s closing price while Bralirwa shares traded between Rwf420 and Rwf426 and closed at Rwf 425, translating into a decline of Rwf1 compared. KCB share price remained at Rwf154 while NMG shares last transacted at Rwf1,200.At the end of formal trading hours, there was an outstanding bid of 2,002,000 BK shares at Rwf130 and outstanding offers of 500 shares at Rwf 132. On Bralirwa counter, there were outstanding bids of 119,000 shares between Rwf 386 and Rwf 425 and no outstanding offers.Last week the RSE market went up in traded volumes and turnover compared to pervious week’s trading session. The total turnover for last week was Rwf 163,040,400 from 970,600 BK shares and 86,700 Bralirwa shares traded in 36 deals compared to pervious week’s trading session, which recorded a turnover of Rwf 117,562,300 from 320,800 BK shares and 180,800 Bralirwa shares traded in 34 deals.The Bond Market: No transactions were recorded on Government and BCR bonds.
