The series revolves around a girl called Daniela (Alejandra Lazcano), the daughter of a wealthy Diego Montenegro (Leonardo Daniel), who goes to prison for the murder of his wife. The person he considered his loyal friend and partner, Horacio Rodriguez (Rafael Sanchez Navarro), betrayed him and falsely accused him of murder.Horacio is a disgruntled lover rejected by Daniela’s mother. He then tries to rape her but instead kills her in the scuffle. Although Micaela, Daniela’s nanny and godmother witnesses the murder, she is left traumatized and in shock…literally unable to speak or move! Daniela, nicknamed the little devil, a beautiful and rebellious girl, and raised in one of the poorest neighborhoods falls in love at first sight with Santiago Fontaner (Cristobal Lander), Horacio’s stepson. Although it is a match made in heaven, Daniela faces the wrath of Santa Madrigal (Claudia Alvarez), the other girl in love with Santiago. Santa Madrigal will stop at nothing to tear them apart. When Horacio sees Daniela at his house for the very first time, she seems like a ghost, as she is the spitting image of her late mother. Santiago decides to marry Daniela against his family’s wishes. Other than social status getting in the way of their love, the cruel murder of Daniela’s mother 20 years ago keeps haunting Santiago’s family. The Mexican soap opera is currently showing on Star Times’ STVE2 on weekdays and runs from 7-8pm.
