Caf U-17 ChampionshipOct. 12 Botswana vs RwandaOct. 20Rwanda vs BotswanaJUNIOR Wasps’ CAF U-17 African Youth Championships qualifier has been brought forward, team manager Emery Kamanzihas told Times Sport.Speaking yesterday, Kamanzi said, "The first leg will be played on October 12 in Moloporore, (50km from the capital Gaborone), while the second leg will be played eight days later in Kigali.”Initially, the first leg was scheduled for October 13 and the return leg on October 27.The reason for the second leg to be brought forward is because many of Bostwana team players are students and will be starting end of year exams late October.Meanwhile, the junior wasps continued their preparations yesterday at Ferwafa turf under close watch of head coach Richard Tardy.The team has been bolstered with the arrival of Senegal based Aspire academy striker Blaise Itangishaka, who joined camp over the weekend.Tardy is using the squad which lost two friendly matches against Nigeria in August.Botswana beat Malawi 4-2 on penalties after both teams played an aggregate 3-all after the second leg played in Gaborone over the weekend.The winner over the two-legged qualifier will face the winner between Somalia and Algeria in the final qualifying leg due later this year.The finals of the 2013 Africa U-17 championship will be held in Morocco.
