Comedy fans and the ‘Knights’ friends gathered once again at Rainbow Hotel in Kicukiro over the weekend to enjoy another funny open-mic night of comedy featuring local comedians, who entertained the crowd with splitting humor throughout the night.Comedy ‘Knights’ is known as a fun brand that shares the joyful spirit with its fans. Patrons enjoyed jokes from the professional comedians. The presentation, which was conducted in English, Kinyarwanda and French, raised off everybody’s mood and attention – the display of the rich skill and talent by the ‘Knights’ of Comedy. Apart from comedy, revelers enjoyed music by Uncle Austin; who too warmed up the audience in some of his songs, such as ‘Nzakwizirikaho’, ‘Ibihe byose’, ‘Nzapfa ejo’, ‘Ndafuha’.Speaking to The New Times, Herve Kimenyi, one of the group’s members, said that Comedy ‘Knights’ would be staged at various venues in the country."This is aimed at bringing comedy closer to people; so they can access the shows easily,” said Kimenyi."I’ve liked the way they do their comedy, engaging the crowd and the mix of languages is good. They really bring out humor,” said an attendee, who only identified himself as Holmes."Generally it was so interesting, these guys are talented. They should increase on performance hours by starting earlier,” noted Jean-Pierre Mitsutsu.The show started at 8p.m and ended 9:30p.m.
