One person has been reported dead and a dozen injured in Nkungu Sector, Rusizi District after being struck by lightning on Sunday.  The deceased has been identified as Chantal Nyiranzeyimana, 22 while those injured are still admitted at Mibirizi Hospital with one in a very critical condition.According to Florence Uwikunda, an eyewitness who spoke from her hospital bed, the lightning struck in the afternoon."The three of us were standing in the compound and when it struck, we all fell down and the next thing I knew we were in hospital,” a recovering Uwikunda said.In an interview, the hospital Director, Justin Wabenga, said that the other victims were steadily recovering apart from one who was still struggling to speak.
